Dia Mirza was recently seen in Rakesh Roshan’s Krazzy 4. However, this is not her only release this year. She has a host of other releases lined up. We will be seeing her in Kunal Vijaykar’s Fruit & Nut co-starring Cyrus Brocha and Boman Irani. "This is a mad comedy. It is basically a situational comedy. I play an architect in the movie — independent and little arrogant," she explains. Dia is also doing a movie with Amitabh Bachchan called Shoebite. So how was it working with Big B? "Compelling. He is such a great performer. He has immense screen presence. It was fantastic working with him," she gushes.
Her other project UTV’s Kisaan deals with recent problems of farmer suicides. Dia will be playing the character of a lawyer in the movie. She also is looking forward for Sanjya Gupta’s Acid Factory. The movie also features Bipasha Basu, Fardeen Khan, Irrfan Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Manoj Bajpai, Dino Morea and Danny Denzongpa.
Her fans will be seeing her in a completely new avatar. "I play a criminal. This is something I have never done before. This is a very lethal character, physically assertive and aggressive. The audiences will see a completely new me," she says excitedly.
So is she happy with the way her career has shaped up? "I am ecstatic," she laughs. On a serious note she adds, "I came into the industry with no idea what to expect. So I am happy with the way it has shaped up. I am happy with the offers coming my way. There are so many good scripts I have to refuse because of dates problem.
