Akshay Kumar, who is making his television debut with Khatron Ke Khiladi on Viacom 18’s new channel called Colors, launched the channel in Bangkok on Monday. The action hero showed his daredevil skills at this launch by holding an ajgar (python) around his neck and by doing some motorbike stunts but got emotional about his association with Bangkok, "I share a lot of memories with this city because I use to work here as a waiter in my earlier days."

Speaking about the show, the actor said, "I have been getting lot of offers on television but nothing excited me. When Khatron Ke Khiladi came to me, I really liked it and accepted this offer."  The show will have 13 bombshells from the Hindi film industry including Yana Gupta, Sonali Kulkarni, Anjana Sukhani, Sayali Bhagat, Aditi Govitrikar and Pooja Bedi to name a few. When asked if Akshay took this offer only because Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman are on the small screen. He jokingly said, "Yes I like to copy and so I am on the small screen."

Akshay, who is the brand ambassador of IPL’s Daredevils team of Delhi said, "I am into sports and not trade. I believe in game and not in war." His forthcoming venture is Ashtavinayak’s next film, Blue, that also stars Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan. Major action portions of the film will be shot underwater in the Bahamas.

Speaking about Blue, Akshay says, "I have done all kinds of action, now it’s an underwater film where I will be with sharks." The actor has also been finalised for the role of Tatya Tope. "Yes I an playing Tatya Tope in the film," he confirms.
