Ad filmmaker Kunal Shivdasani, who is directing the action thriller Hijack, is shooting the film in various exciting locations. One of them being at Ras Al Khaimah airport in Dubai, where the temperature was above 50 degrees, resulting in the tarmac melting. The rising mercury at the outdoor shoot on the runway made things extremely difficult for the crew. The hot air almost burnt their skin and to give a crucial shot atop the aircraft made it almost impossible for Shiney Ahuja. At a time when they almost decided to call off the shoot, Shiney held on. He insisted on continuing the shoot and finishing the schedule and while they discussed the possibilities little did Shiney realise that he would be stuck on the tarmac.

While shooting an action sequence, the soles of Shiney’s shoes were getting stuck on to the hot surfaces. Being a true professional, he continued to complete the action sequence. Hijack is full of never-before-seen action sequences shot in true Hollywood style. "It was big challenge as the action scenes were tough. I have always wanted to do action. As a kid I always wanted to be a pilot and Hijack gave me a chance to atleast land inside the cockpit of the plane. I play a maintenance chief. It was fun. In the beginning I had my own misgivings but after two days, I was confident that I could carry off action scenes well," says Shiney.

With Hijack, Shiney will have Bollywood directors looking at him in a different light given he’s not done action before.
